Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, viewing or ordering products within the 'Picpress' system, operated by Picpress Pty Ltd, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the terms and conditions of service. The terms may be modified without notice.
Currency
All items displayed are priced in Australian Dollars, and Goods and services tax (GST) is included in all purchases with a delivery address inside Australia.
Payment Security
We use Camtech software to process online payments over an encrypted SSL connection to ensure the security of credit card transactions. The cards accepted for payment are displayed on the checkout section of the order form.
Privacy
Picpress collects information about our clients which is stored within our central database. The stored information is kept confidential, will be used for communication and promotional purposes only and will not be forwarded to any third party.
Colour and profiles
Picpress agree to print the products you order as high quality digital prints using an HP Indigo 5500 digital printing process, not a photographic printing process.
The Indigo uses CMYK as the ink printing process, which requires a conversion process from your sRGB files. Images must be submitted with an embedded sRGB profile. Slight shifts may occur consequently, which is normal for any CMYK print process. Images submitted with profiles other than sRGB will not be accepted as a reason for reprinting or claiming defects in the finished product.
Colours may also vary slightly due to variations in paper stocks.
Previewing your files
Before placing your Picpress order you must agree that you have reviewed your file(s) and they are ready for print. By doing so, you take full responsibility for the layout and content. Images and text will be printed as they appear in the preview. It is imperative to allow for a bleed of at least 3mm.
If your Picpress product for any reason does not withstand “normal” wear and tear, please contact Picpress Customer Care.
Even though all due care and attention is taken in the process of producing your products, factors outside of Picpress’ control can cause irregularities with product finishes. All products are thoroughly checked by our staff for any defects outside commercially acceptable standards.
We assume no liability for poor image quality derived from low-resolution images or misspellings in text in any products. Picpress will not be held accountable for misuse, mishandling, or inadequate maintenance of product once received by the client. We will not in any circumstances be liable for any special, exemplary, punitive or consequential damages (including but not limited to economic loss or loss of profit or revenue or loss of opportunity) for any breach of any warranty or other breach of these terms.
Return Policy
Products sold through the 'Picpress' system are in a new condition unless specified within the product information. If you receive a shipment that is damaged or faulty contact must be made with Picpress within 48 hours of receipt, you must provide evidence of the damage/fault and return the goods with a copy of your invoice to Picpress for exchange. Photos must be first emailed to customerservice@picpress.com.au to show the damage of your product. Unless products are damaged in transit or faulty on arrival Picpress will not refund or exchange the goods purchased.
Service times
Service times listed are the approximate time in production and orders are generally ready for despatch at 5.00pm AEST on the day of completion. Every effort is made to maintain the service times listed with all of our products and services. However, service times may vary according to workload. Orders submitted after 1pm will be dated as received the following day.
Unforeseen equipment problems may cause a slight delay in delivery of your product. In that case you will be informed by our Customer Care Representative.
Express Book Service
Express Services are generally available on most printing services, (except during December). Express means you pay a fee on top of the standard price. This ensures significantly shorter delivery times. In the event an order requires an express service, the file must be uploaded prior to 12noon AEST. While we do our best to satisfy all requests, at times of high workload, Express Services may be declined. They are available in December only when possible, and only by special application.

Fees
Non-standard handling of orders can be covered, where necessary, with small additional fees. Whilst most orders come in and go out in accordance to the guidelines established for each service provided, there may be times when additional requirements and/or handling is requested by the client to aid them in dealing with non-standard orders. To cater for such needs, rather than “padding” all pricing to include such costs of additional material and handling, Picpress deems it fair to have only those orders that require additional time and/or added artwork bear any necessary additional costs. This enables us to keep overall pricing to a minimum on all orders that comply with the Picpress guidelines – and that is, of course, the vast majority of orders.
For the Picpress art department to pre-flight or change any details of your order, a fee of $135.00 an hour or part thereof will be charged upon approval of the client. A minimum starting fee of $35.00 is applicable for any changes.
Cancellation Fee
Any requests for an order to be cancelled, once submitted to Picpress by any means, will incur a cancellation fee of $20.00 – if that order has not already been printed when the cancellation request is received.
